On Wednesday 19th April join the APPG on Inclusive Growth and SPERI in Parliament as we hold a joint event with the Industrial Strategy Commission to debate what a place-based industrial strategy could look like. The event will include a parliamentary evidence session for the Commission as well as a panel-led discussion and Q&A session.
Speakers at the event will include members of the Industrial Strategy Commission (Dame Kate Barker, Professor Diane Coyle, Professor Richard Jones, Professor Andy Westwood and Dr Craig Berry) with further speakers to be announced soon.
The Industrial Strategy Commission is an independent inquiry into the development of a new, long-term industrial strategy for the UK. Chaired by leading British economist Dame Kate Barker, the Commission is a joint initiative by Policy@Manchester at the University of Manchester and the Sheffield Political Economy Research Institute (SPERI) at the University of Sheffield. The Commission was launched in March 2017 and it will publish its Key Findings in July 2017 with a final report in September.
Join us to share your views on #InclusiveGrowth and #IndustrialStrategy and contribute to the work of the Industrial Strategy Commission. Register your place today.
